I've just unboxed my CC2650RC kit and I am not able to perform the voice search using BLE. I am using a Dell E7450 running Win7 Pro 64bit. I have followed the procedure at the CC2650RC UG page and have tested with multiple CC2540 USB dongles. The kit works correctly when used with RF4CE firmware and a CC2531 USB dongle.
When following the userguide procedure for BLE, everything works up to the point of pairing the remote control kit to the CC2540 dongle. After that, I confirm that pressing the number keys on the remote actually causes the corresponding key presses to occur on the PC, but the Google voice search does not work. I have retried the procedure multiple times and with multiple CC2540 USB dongles without success.
When following the userguide procedure for RF4CE at the same page and using a CC2531 USB dongle, everything works as documented, including the Google voice search capability.
Is there a known problem with the USB version of the CC2650RC UG procedure or are there any undocumented steps required when using BLE versus RF4CE?
