CC2564C: Is it possible to implement A2DP sink and HFP simultaneously.

I need to implement a peripheral which has A2DP and HFP. The A2DP will be used for music streaming whereas HFP will be used for recording voice from the peripheral. The application needs voice recognition, hence the HFP will need to be always connected.

The question is can we have voice from the peripheral to the central device while music is streaming over A2DP?

CC2564C supports multiple profiles at the same time. However, _assisted_ a2dp and HFP can n't be run at the same time. Please, refer to the data sheet: www.ti.com/.../cc2564c.pdf

I need A2DP (not A3DP) and HFP to run at the same time.

Is it possible?

Hi Niraj,

There is no such limitation when using the (unassisted) A2DP with HFP. So it is possible.

Although the CC2564C with external processor could run A2DP and HFP(unassisted) at the same time I don't think the Bluetooth specification allows this. I don't think A2DP and HFP can run over the same BT channel at the same time.
