cc2564: BLE frequency hopping mode

Part Number: CC2564

A CC2564 user is working with a test lab on certification for Korea. The lab is requiring BLE hopping mode.

There is text here http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/CC256x_FCC_Certification_Guide that says "There is no test command to place the BLE in hopping mode."

Can we advise here? We must have encountered this request before.

Hi David,

That is true, there is no frequency hopping mode for BLE in CC2564x when running the test commands.

If doing the receiver test for PER/BER in BLE modulation, it is done with a Bluetooth tester like CBT tester and the standard LE test commands are used with CBT to get receiver parameters with CBT. Since this test establishes a connection between CBT and CC256x, this test case includes frequency hopping results. Please refer to the link below for more detail.
