CC2640R2F: RESET voltage with mixed power domains

Part Number: CC2640R2F
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2640, MSP430F5253

I have a CC2640 and a MSP430F5253 in my design. The MSP430 is fed by a 1.8V regulated supply while the CC2640 takes its power from  an unregulated rail ranging 2.0V ... 3.6V.

Now, if I want to be able to reset the CC2640 by means of the MSP430 on board, can I do that with a pull-up resistor to 1.8V?

I read in another forum that the MAX reset voltage is 1.77V, but I cannot guarantee the MSP supply (1.8V nominal) will always be more than 1.77V (less than 2% margin).

VDDS3, hence JTAG_TDI/TDO are also connected to 1.8V

An extra transistor would do the job but is it needed?
