cc2540T: Is there any plan for High Temperature successor to CC2540T?

Part Number: CC2540T
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2640R2F-Q1

I can imagine that High Temperature (125C) gets more challenging with smaller scale silicon/increased complexity, but does TI have any plans for a successor to the CC2540T that they can share with us? E,.g, With lower power and/or BLE 4.2/5.0 support?

  • Hello John,

TI has not announced any successor to the CC2540T.

For higher than 85C operation, the CC2640R2F-Q1 supports an Automotive Grade2 operating temperature range of -40 to 105 C. You can find more details about this device at the product folder link.

    Best wishes
