Hi,

With regards to CC264xx Security. When using Just Works pairing method, is it possible to
change the default passkey "000000" to some other number?
Plese let me know if this passkey is hard-coded to "000000" or it is allowed to be changed
and the source where could it be changed.

Thank you for the Info,

Just wanted to confirm that if our application don't have a keyboard or LCD
and if we want to use a static hard-coded passkey,
we can use the define any passcode like below as mentioned in the "Listing 71" of the SDK user guide?

#define B_APP_DEFAULT_PASSCODE 999998

Please let me know if it is allowed to use static hard-coded passkey or should it be generated randomly.

Paddu,

It depends on what your initiator and your responder has for IO capabilities. If you are saying both is no input, no output, you will only be able to just works since both initiator and responder have no way of validating the pass key.

This is pulled in from BLE 4.2 Spec Vol 3, Part H, Section 2.3.5. I suggest you read this section of the BLE spec with regards to this question to understand the BLE Spec capabilities.
