Defective CC Debugger?

How can I know if my CC Debugger is defective? The SmartRFProgrammer software is installed as well as all necessary drivers, but it won't recognize the dongle or the keyfob from the CC2540 kit. Also, when I open SmartRFProgrammer, the software doesn't recognize the Debugger. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

Hi.

Can you download the latest SmartRF Studio (http://www.ti.com/smartrfstudio) and try to upgrade the CC debugger FW?
If i remember correctly this is done by opening up the SmartRF Studio, connect the CC debugger (without this being connected to anything) and the SmartRF Studio should promt to update.

Could be that you for some reason has a updated debugger..

This worked, thanks! I didn't know that Smart RF Studio would upgrade the firmware as well, since the instructions said that Smart RF Programmer would do it.
