CC2640R2F: the impact of antenna direction on AOA result

Hi,

We have carried out AOA test as shown in the figure below. When we rotated the transmitter counterclockwise, the results of aoa calculation varied seriously. Whether this phenomenon is normal? Can we do anything to eliminate the bad effect on aoa result brought by the rotation of transmitter?

Is the LaunchPad positioned so that it is perpendicular to the ground?

Is the rotating LaunchPad's antenna stagnant in 3-dimensional space?

Are you moving the LaunchPad similar to how it is done in this demo? -> www.youtube.com/watch

Hi Seong,
Yes , the LaunchPad is perpendicular to the ground, and its antenna stagnant in 3-d space.
The movement is different to the demo you mentioned. We didn't move the LaunchPad, just rotated it.

What is the angle on the incommoding signal to the BOOSTXL-AoA?
What is you test environment (office indoor, outdoor etc)?

What does the incommoding signal mean? The correct angle between the receiver and transmitter is about 0°；

The test environment is office indoor.

In office indoor environment there are quite a lot of metal reflectors. In order to have a better understanding of the test result, you need to either do the test outside(open space) and compare the result in a more ideal environments.
