CC2650STK: Is there a linux compatible BLE stack for the CC2650STK

The product page of the CC2650STK links to a win exe: ble_sdk_2_02_03_08_setup.exe

Is there a BLE SDK for this device  for Linux ?

    Hi Peter,

    Unfortunately, the BLE-Stack SW Package for CC2650 is not part of the SimpleLink ecosystem and is lacking platform support for other systems than Windows.

    For a more "future proof" path (and linux support), I suggest you consider CC2642 instead.

    So when I run some of the examples for the CC2650STK , like uartecho_CC2650STK_TI ,

    I assume that I  will erase the factory programmed BLE stack and there is no way on Linux to getting it back ?

    Or am I missing something ?

    Hi Peter,

    Hmm, I think I misunderstood you. The installer you are referring to is the Software package which includes the source code that runs on the sensortag itself. The tools to program the sensortag is CCS or IAR, but if you have access to a binary you can use UniFlash which is supported on Linux.

    I think my question wasn't clear as I am still discovering these devices. I use the MSP432 and I have never heard about/ or needed UNIFlash, so clearly there is something basic that  I am not understanding about the CC2650 ...

    To get me started: does this document apply to the CC2650STK ?

    Hi Peter,

    yes, that document describes the software framework / protocol stack that can run on the CC2650 (on the sensortag).
