Hi,

I am imaging an application of indoor localization composed by:

Several slave devices
Several master devices AoA booster pack installed
Several passive devices with AoA booster pack installed

I am supposing passive and master devices are installed along a building. For AoA, a master device for pairing is required to be reachable from a slave device. While moving, if connection with master is lost, that means master cannot receive any more slave messages, but other passives are still receiving data, do you think system can still work?

In this way, just an initial pairing is required, then the slave can move through rooms with several passives installed. What do you about it? As you understa, I want to solve navigation problem.

Hi Luca,

I see at least one issue in the system you are describing. The CTE (constant tone) is transmitted during the connection events. If the connection between the slave and the master is lost, then not anymore connection events happen and no CTE is transmitted.
Please note that the passive devices are *not* able to maintain a BLE connection. The passive devices are only made to "sniff" an existing BLE connection.

I got it. Do you think is it feasible to place more masters on an indoor path? Once the connection is lost, slave goes in pairing mode and listening for a master establishing a new connection. That means each master periodically goes to check for new connection.

Please let me know your kind opinion.
