I am supporting an existing bluetooth product that uses the LMX9838. As I understand it, the previously paired device powers up or resets to the IDLE AUTOMATIC state and makes 3 attempts to reconnect to its stored default connection. There is only one stored connection. When a connection is made, it transitions to a PICONET MASTER. How long does it take to make the 3 attempts to reconnect? If no connection is made, I would like to reset the LMX9838 to try again. How long do I need to wait before applying a reset?
