CC256XMSPBTBLESW: CC256XMSPBTBLESW

We have a requirement to support the co- existence of SPP & BLE modes of Bluetooth stack in our MSP430 based hardware.

Our device is based on MSP430F5438A and BT module from AMPAK (part GT9664A1 which internally uses CC2564).

On search we came across TI BT Stack https://www.ti.com/tool/CC256XMSPBTBLESW. Based on this stack and our requirements scenarios we have following queries.

  1. Whether this stack allows co-existence of SPP and Selected profiles from BLE?

                                                               i.      The developed device shall be pairable to SPP/BLE supported host devices.

ii.      SPP/BLE mode switch shall happen automatically by detecting which type of host initiated connection.

  1. Is it ok to use the stack in the above mentioned hardware combination (MSP430F5438A and BT module from AMPAK)?
  2. To meet the BLE mode or dual mode does the MSP430 hardware design need to meet any specific design criteria? Our current design supports SPP.
  3. Our end device functionality is Barcode scanner, currently we are using SPP to transfer the scanned barcode data to host. In BLE to transfer data we can we use BT BLE Profile "HID over GATT Profile (HOGP)", or is there any better recommendation that the stack supports?

Expecting valuable reply.
