CC2564MODN: Getting started with this module for bluetooth wearable

Hello,

I am working on a project in which we are looking to use the CC2564MODN module with integrated antenna. I want to make sure that I have all of the hardware necessary to code and develop this board. Some software engineers will be working on the code but need to make sure that they have all the resources to do so.

Is there anything else needed besides the Evaluation board: CC2564MODAEM Evaluation board | TI.com In order to start developing the software?

Also what is the process for coding the module? Can it be soldered to the evaluation board even though it is a full module? From my understanding, the CC2564 module should somehow be input the evaluation board so that it can be coded. Any help on this and advice on the process in general would be much appreciated. Thank you.

We are just looking to send voltage values from a wearable device to a smartphone, computer, etc.

if you don't need to Bluetooth classic

look at chip integrated BT LE and MCU

Hi Tyler,

Do you need BT classic along with BLE?

If not, I suggest you take a look at the CC26xx devices - they are TI BLE MCUs which would be more suited to your application than the CC2564 devices:

Michael,

I was previously looking at the CC2650 since there is the MCU/ BLE combined. However we are looking for a module with an integrated antenna and I could not find any of the CC26xx with an antenna integrated.

Hi Tyler,

There is the CC2650 module available that might fit your criteria:

Aside from that part, there aren't any TI-provided CC26xx modules, though there may be third-party vendors who offer antenna-integrated modules with the CC26xx.

As the CC26xx MCU+BLE parts are more suited to your needs, I'll assign this thread to an expert on those devices who will be able to assist you further. Please note that due to the holidays responses will likely be delayed.
