Hello there,

I want to make Capacitive touch with Sensor Controller Studio.

For this, 2 adc pins are required in the document. (1 measurement pin and 1 reference pin). Is this true? I use all ADC pins in my application and I can use 1 ADC pin for capacitive touch. Can this be done? If I need 2 pins, can I use this reference pin in common? So I run and stop the sensor controls studio at a certain interval, and at other times I read another adc example from the reference pin. Is this possible?

Hello Ahmet,

Yes, you will need 1 reference pin to enable capacitive touch and 1 measurement pin for each capacitive sensor thereafter. You can review the Sensor Controller SimpleLink Academy Lab and BOOSTXL-ULPSENSE technical documentation and design files for more information. You may be able to modify the code generated by Sensor Controller Studio to switch a pin between capacitive touch reference and generic ADC input, please further evaluate and let us know the outcome of your tests.
