We've purchased the cc2541 development kit, and have been working with it about 3 weeks. We are new to the circuit design / implimentation. We need to interface 16 analog devices to the 2541.
Five need to be interrupt driven.
It seems that we can use 8 analog inputs on the 2541. But we have some questions on the rest.
1. Could we use a voltage divider to map a voltage across a sensor, and then use the digital pins? Will there be issues with timing, impedance? (things we are studying as fast as we can but... )
2. If I understand correctly, values under .5 volts will be read as low. The maximum voltage is 2.4 volts. Where does the transition between 0 and 1 occur?
3. If there are problems with this, I presume that an ADC is the preferred route.
In looking at the TI product specifier I find the ADS7959 - which looks to be OK,
8Bit resolution/ 8channel. I do have a question of how to use this as it has 4 GPIO.
Alternately, the TLV0838 looks like possibly an even better fit.
All help sincerely appreciated!!!!!
