Hi,

Greeting!!!,

I am a beginner for RF design & Wireless connectivity.

We are developing a hardware combining CC2650 SoC with range extender CC2590.

I have seen the sentence in datasheet saying seamless integration with CC2590.

Does it mean I can connect RF_P and RF_N IO lines directly to CC2590 without matching and filtering circuit in between?

If I require to place matching and filtering circuit between CC2590 and CC2650 then how to design such circuit?

Hi Bipin,

Yes, that is basically what it means. RF_P and RF_N can be connected directly to the differential input of the CC259x. We do recommend to put in a place holder for a shunt component between the RF lines in case some impedance adjustment is necessary though.

We are working on reference designs both for the CC2590 and the CC2592 with the CC2650. They are both scheduled to be released before Christmas.

Hi Fredrik

Has the reference design for the CC2590 with the CC2650 been released. We are having a bunch of issues with the CC2590 LNA performance (PA looks good enough - needs some work though) - and have not been able to explain it yet. Our design has been to connect the CC2640 with the CC2590.

Can you shed some light on why we might be having these LNA problems.

can you share some more details with regards to the issues you are seeing with the LNA, do you get poor sensitivity or something else? On our preliminary boards, we see a sensitivity close to -97.5/-98 dBm depending on frequency.

Is it available now?

And also we would like to know if you have plans for CC1310+CC2590?

Hi Kummi,

CC2650-CC2590 is delayed at least until Q3.

For range extenders for C1310 (CC2590 does not work with this part) please go to the sub-1 GHz forum.

CC1310 cannot work with CC2590. To add PA/LNA to CC1310, you should use CC1190.
