I've been attempting to get the cc2540 dongle CDC driver to work with windows 10 with no success. It works with the packet sniffer cebal driver, but I need the CDC driver for use with the BTool.

I can get the cdc driver, that's located in the C:\TexasInstruments\Stack\Accessories\Drivers, installed by clicking install legacy hardware under device manager but get a code 10 under the device manager when it tries to start the driver.

Is this a known error? Has anyone had luck using BTool w/ cc2540 usb dongle on windows 10?

Any help is much appreciated.

Hi Edward,

Can you try flashing the HostTestRelease project on the dongle and see if that works? Hex files should be here:
C:\Texas Instruments\BLE-CC254x-1.4.1.43908a\Accessories\HexFiles

That seems to have done the trick, I also didn't need to install the CDC drivers for Windows 10 after flashing the cc2540.
