I have a Wireless Motor Monitor (www.ti.com/.../TIDM-WLMOTORMONITOR from TI prototype. The unit does not have a sensor yet but we are trying to establish a connection through Bluetooth to the unit. I have been unable to detect the unit with any of my Bluetooth devices (smartphone, ipad, etc). Does anyone know what application we could use to connect to the unit?

If you're using an iPad (or other iOS device), you'll want to download the TechBASIC app from the app store to get started. For more information, take a look at the User's Guide.

Thanks James. I did use the TechBasic app and did not receive any activity from the motor monitor. I tried all the techbasic programs. I was able to confirm that I could discover a BLE signal and connect using the BLE Scanner app, but got none from the Motor Monitor. Can you suggest a method for confirming that the unit is working? Battery Is good, but I can't find anything with a scope, probably because of the tiny duty cycle of the radio. Is it Possible that this unit has no software? Can you suggest hardware to access the JTAG connector.

As you can see, I am lost. Any suggestions will be appreciated/

One of the guys said the unit has no software installed. Can you advise how to install the software??

Holland,

To program the CC2650, I'd recommend using the 10-pin J3 header with a supported debugger (mentioned on the wiki, found here). Since the CC2650 application stack was developed and tested with the IAR SDK (mentioned on page 13 of the User's Guide, found here), make sure the debugger is supported in IAR.

Check the schematic, layer plots, and/or PCB silkscreen to determine where Pin 1 is located on J3, so the debugger connector can be oriented properly.
