CC2640R2F: How to make sniffer from Launchpad cc2640r2

I have Launchpad cc2640r2 and I want to make Sniffer with it. I downloaded and installed SmartRF Packet Sniffer 2. In bin folder in the subfolder 26x0lp I found sniffer_fm_15_4.hex file. I uploaded it on the launchpad, but the program does not found the device. How do I make Sniffer from the launcpad?

sniffer_fm_15_4.hex is for sub-GHz 15.4 Stack and you cannot use it on CC2640R2.

but where I can find right firmware or some instructions how to use Launchpad cc2640r2 as sniffer?

Hi Roman,

We do not have sniffer FW for the CC2640R2F.

To use TI packet sniffer as BLE sniffer, only the following two EVBs are possible capturing devices:

SmartRF05EB + CC2540EM
CC2540 USB Dongle
