RTOS/CC2640R2F: Is there a way to reduce FLASH size used by BLE stack and TI-RTOS

Dear TI Expert,

My customer has ported MQTT protocol to CC2640R2 and found that Flash is nearly full. They just need BLE connection and small data transmission. Is there some guide to reduce FLASH size used by BLE stack and TI-RTOS, so customer can have more flash size for their own code? They've used off-chip OAD, and single app-stack-library to save falsh size. But they still need more flash size, say 3~5K.Thanks a lot.

Hi,

This is a fairly implementation specific endeavor. It depends on the features of the stack and drivers that are or are not needed.

In general:
1. try to remove any unnecessary features from the stack:
software-dl.ti.com/.../stack-configuration.html

2. try to turn off features not needed by the stack (i.e. GATT client, OSAL_SNV, etc)
software-dl.ti.com/.../creating-a-custom-bluetooth-low-energy-application.html
