Hello,

I have seen on another support that BT5.0 will be offered on CC2640R2F only and there is no support of BT5 on CC2650.

What is the exact reason for this incompability ?

Hi Benjamin,

This is because of the optimised BLE SW content in the CC2640R2F ROM.

hey, thanks for this fast answer.

I guess we can't upgrade CC2650 SW to its ROM same as CC2640R2F SW ?

CC2650 has limited RAM/Flash size for BLE5 functionality.

Hi Benjamin,

The only way to do that is to physically replace the CC2650 with CC2640R2F. Keep in mind the ROM is hard-coded in the device.
