Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-00096,
Hello,
I have been working with TI's TIDA-00096 wireless heart monitor with BLE for about a year-and-a-half now. We have been successful in writing a Windows-based program to communicate with the heart rate monitor, but we want to move onto the next step.
First, the Windows program depends on using the TI USB dongle, but we would like to instead be able to use any computer's built-in bluetooth device. Is there any PC-based example code that I could use as a starting point (preferably Visual C++/C#)? It would be nice if the source code for the formerly available iPad application was available. It would provide another nice starting point.
Second, another way to accomplish what we want would be to put a bluetooth SPP profile into the reference design code. That way the PC program could just open a serial port and start talking. Is there a way to put an SPP profile into the CC2541 heart monitor reference design? Our data rates are low.
Best Regards and Thanks,
Mike
