CC2564MODA: cc2564 (dual-mode stack) supported profiles

Part Number: CC2564MODA
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC256XSTBTBLESW, CC256XMSPBTBLESW

I'm selecting a Dual Mode part for a customer design.  They have requested support for various BT profiles.  The datasheet clearly states that some of the required profiles (A2DP, AVRCP) are supported.  However, the customer requested support for a few more profiles, and I'm trying to figure out whether nor not they are supported.  Here's the list...

 - HSP (customer says this one is required)

 - PXP (customer says this one is desirable, but not required)

 - SDAP (customer says this one is desirable, but not required)

Are all the supported profiles listed in the TI Dual-Mode BT stack documentation?  Where would I find the appropriate document?

Thanks!

  • Guess I should have dug a little further before asking. I think I've answered my own questions.
    - HSP - The CC256XSTBTBLESW page says it supports this. Interestingly, the CC256XMSPBTBLESW page says it supports the more "complex" HFP (but not HSP). This indicates to get the support we need we have to choose an ST micro instead of an MSP430. We can certainly go that route, but seems strange that TI would make that decision for us.

    - PXP - The CC256XSTBTBLESW page (and others) say that this is supported.

    - SDAP - A little digging on the BT site shows that this profile has been deprecated, so no longer investigating support for it.
  • Hi Kevin,

Glad you were able to find the answer you were looking for. I'm going to close this thread.
