CC2642R: error when flashing the launchpad

Hi,

I have CC2641R1 launchpad rev 1.01 (from sdk 1.60rc1)

It all worked well, until one day IAR prompt an error when trying to download:

Thu Mar 07, 2019 20:38:05: Fatal error: Failed to do go: (Error -2134 @ 0x0) Unable to control device execution state. Reset the device, and retry the operation. If error persists, confirm configuration, power-cycle the board, and/or try more reliable JTAG settings (e.g. lower TCLK). (Emulation package 8.0.803.0) Session

All type of restarts and power down, unplug etc.. did not worked.

Edit:

I tried several times to program via flash programmer 2 (always successes, only IAR failed)
And after 2-3 times, IAR started to flash successfully again but crashed right after flashing finished and show this error now:

Hi,

Can you try to update the XDS firmware by using SmartRF Studio or by using xdsdfu (see chapter 3.7.3.2 here: www.ti.com/.../sprui94.pdf).

If you connect it with latest Flash Programmer 2, can it recognize your CC2641R1 launchpad rev 1.01?

Hi,

Which version of IAR are you using? Are you using 4 or 2-pin JTAG? Have you mounted all jumpers on the XDS header?

Hi,

Make sure that you only have one tool that access the XDS110 open. Please also have a look at the Debugging JTAG guide for info about the different error codes.

Hi Simon,

I also have problems accessing CC2652R using IAR EW Arm Ver 8.32. Have you tried? Do you have any patch from IAR to make it work?

Hi Simon,

The problem was on the Windows virtual machine on Mac. I was able to upgrade the firmware of the LP using UniFlash on Windows laptop and it works now.
