CC2652RB: SmartRF Flash Programmer 2 v1.80 has problem showing all internal windows?

Part Number: CC2652RB

Hi,

When I open the SmartRF Flash Programmer 2 and maximize windows size, the Verify Tab does not show all. If I do not maximize the window the Status Tab does not show all. I found solution for the Verify Tab to show all when SmartRF Flash Programmer 2 is maximize window size that is I undock the "Image Overides" then dock again. But, doing this every time is very annoying.

  • Markel,

Can you share a screenshot of what you're seeing? Can you also please share which Windows version you are using, and if you have screen scaling enabled (other than 100% scaling)?

    Thanks!

    TIABO

  • Hi TIABO,

I am using Windows 10 and did not adjust the screen scaling. I have been using the previous version of SmartRF Flash Programmer 2 and I can see everything no problem. Because I am working on CC2652RB LP I downloaded and installed the latest version of SmartRF Flash Programmer 2. When I opened everything is bigger and it is having trouble showing everything here are screenshots below.

First open SmartRF Flash Programmer 2 in window maximize mode:

  • Hi Markel,

Are you using several screens with different scaling and resolution? Is your main display a high-resolution display? Have you tried adjusting the size of the connected devices and status view to create more space for the tabs view?

    Regards,
    Elin
  • Hi Elin W,

I am using 14 inch Lenovo Laptop. My main display is not high-resolution. As I have mentioned at my first post "I undock the "Image Overides" then dock again" fix the problem, but its annoying. Doing this adds to downtime.

At previous versions of SmartRF Flash Programmer 2, there is no problem, I can see everything.

  • Hi Markel,

I only see this issue on my computer when the resolution is set very low. So if you have the option to increase the resolution, this could help fix the issue.

Regarding why I asked about if you've tried adjusting the size of the adjacent views was that I thought that these settings were remembered between sessions, but that was not the case.

Based on your post, I guess that you want to use the "Image Overrides" panel a lot? Have you tried keeping it undocked or does that create more downtime? The docked or undocked state is remembered between sessions.

Have you tried scrolling in the "Verify" view?

    Regards,
    Elin W
  • I just hope TI fix this at the next version. I will mark this post as answered.
