I want to send wireless ECG data using 2540 usb dongle.

Is it possible to send wireless ECG data using 2540 usb dongle?.

I think it should be no problem but there is no existing reference design for this.

how we can use CC 2540EMK-USB as bluetooth device only?. Is it possible for us to send data through Btool and receive in Matlab or any other software?

Is it possible to send packets from one 2540 usb dongle and receive packets using other 2540 dongle using packet sniffer.

It's possible to send packet between two CC2540 USB don't but you have to config one as BLE central and another as BLE peripheral. Packet sniffer can not be used for BLE communication.

Hi YiKai Chen,
I configured both devices as master and slave using Host Test Release program. I also sent and received data using GATT notification. Now i want to save the data in text file?. How i can save the transmitted data in text file.

Since BTool doesn't provide such capability, you might need to write you own Btool like application to save transmitted data in text file.

I have seen some posts in which usb dongle was used for serial communication with Matlab. I am new to BLE. Can you please guide me, how can i achieve serial communication with matlab?.

I don’t have experience using CC2540 USB dongle with Matlab so I cannot help.
