CC2652R: the raw data doesn’t represent the same angle and accuracy as your web-based graph shows

Part Number: CC2652R

Hi Team,

We have a lot of I/Q raw data captured. However, the raw data doesn’t represent the same angle and accuracy as your web-based graph shows. As mentioned previously, can you provide the method how you filter the raw data and calibrate the angle?

  • Hi,

Please refer to the SimpleLink Academy AoA lab, especially task 4.

    Thanks,
    Elin

  • Hi Sir,

    good day,

I search your suggest AOA lab task 4,but i have questions more as below:

1.How to get array antenna single element ant1.1 1.2 1.3 for I/Q data?

2.The task4 have i/Q data pic, but not show how to transform data become similar  Web side data.

    Thanks a lot.

  • Hi,

The biggest difference between the tests you are currently running and the tests run by TI is the environment. We ran the tests in an anechoic chamber, without environment perturbation (such as multipath).

    To answer your last questions:

    - TI does not provide code to extract the I/Q samples coming from each antenna. However, this question has already been discussed on the forum. In short, you know how much I/Q samples are extracted from each antenna and you know the antenna switching sequence. So you can determine from which antenna a given sample comes from.

    - To understand how the I/Q data are "transformed" in AOA data, I would recommend you to re-read the AoA lab (especially the introduction). In addition, please have a deeper loo into the AOA.c file or your project... the magic happens there :)

    I hope this will help,

    Best regards,
