Hi,

I have heard CC1350STKUS is disconnected and replaced with LPSTK-CC1352R.

But LPSTK-CC1352R should be installed and operated with a minimum distance of 20 cm between the radiator and a human body.

My solution that is developed with CC1350STKUS needs to put it on a human body.

I need only BLE because a reader is placed near sensor tags.

Is it possible to stop other bands other than BLE and how?

I will appreciate your advice.

I haven't looked into all the details here but my understanding is that this is related to how the product (in this case LPSTK-CC1352R) is classified. LPSTK-CC1352R is intended to be used as a development tool and hence by nature is placed a distance from a human body. Most regulations (ETSI, FCC, IC) have an extra set of rules/ tests a device that should be used on (or very close to) a human body has to pass. Since LPSTK-CC1352R is not intended to be used on a body the product has not been tested against these extra rules and hence the warning.

You can use CC1352P or CC1350 in a product that is placed on a body but you have to look into how this product has to be certified.

Hi,

Yes, I think this is a matter of regulation rules.

The regulation in Japan for 915 MHz readers is they should be used more than 30cm far from a human body.

So, Can we stop 915 MHz frequency of CC1350?

CC1350STKUS was an appropriate product for us. Is this product really phase-out of production?

- Not sure if I understand what you mean by "stop 915 MHz frequency" since it's up to the user which frequency they want to use on the device.

- If you are not going to use 915 MHz, does that mean you are only going to use 2.4 GHz? If that is the case, why not use CC2640R2F or other dedicated BLE devices?

- CC1350STKUS will be replaced by LPSTK-CC1352R since the later has better performance (The sub 1 GHz antenna on CC1350STKUS is poor due to the size of the board) and CC1352R has enough memory to run two stacks. Note that both are development kits and can't be used in end products.
