hello,

I'm working on simplelink_cc2640r2_sdk_3_40_00_10 stack and xdctools 3_51_03_28_core and ccs 9.3.

Try this below using SmartRF Flash Programmer 2. This is for Off Chip OAD example from SDK 3.30.

Enable hex generation for BIM, STACK, APP then rebuild all.
Using SmartRF Flash Programmer 2 set option Erase -> Pages in range, Program -> Entire source file.
Browse BIM and STACK hex file.
Browse APP bin file.
Program only BIM and STACK hex file.
Deselect BIM and Stack hex file.
Program only App bin file.

But after loading this the Launchxl_cc2640r2 device is not advertising.

What should i do to get the device advertising after loading .bin file?

Following the above steps on stack simplelink_cc2640r2_sdk_3_10_00_15 as well as simplelink_cc2640r2_sdk_3_30_00_20 I'm able to do oad on multirole also.

Any solutions?

Hi Abishek,

What build configuration are you using for the projects?

Did you try to use UNIFLASH to program the hex and bin files?

Hi Abhishek,

Your procedure is correct. Make sure you do not use SmartRF Flash Programmer 2 1.8.1. It works with version 1.8.0. There is a much more recent version but I have not tried it.

hello Marie,

I used ccs to load stack first then UNIFLASH and then again ccs for bim this way its working but i needed flash programmer to do flash like previous stacks.

Should i use UNIFLASH to program both hex and bin files?

The above steps were suggested by Markel Robregado for my same such issue on stack 3.30 and these above mentioned steps are working well.

What should i do?

hello Markel,

Can i get the link for 1.8.0?

I tried it on 1.7.5 which worked for stack 3.10 and 3.30 but its not working on stack 3.40.

So i tried 1.8.1 which was actually failing for previous stacks and failed for this stack also.

Hi,

I confirmed that the procedure works for Simple Peripheral Off-Chip OAD example program using SmartRF Flash Programmer 2 1.8.0. Here is the installer link.

I just want to correct myself SmartRF Flash Programmer 2 most recent version is still 1.8.1 which has lots of issues.
