CC2564C: SPP_Data_Write returns 0

Hello e2e,

The customer is doing SPP performance testing on CC2564C Bluetopia stack, they are using SPP_Data_Write to send data every 100ms, it works fine, but when they changed to 10ms, the SPP_Data_Write will return 0 sometimes, the question is below.

1. what should they do if the return value is 0?

2. does 10ms is reasonable for this test?

3. for the SPP TX buffer, does there have any suggestion for the size, is it related to this issue?

Lei,

It sounds like you are getting a buffer underflow condition - Every 10ms seems quite fast, i would suggest backing off to 15ms. Can you test this and see if the issue goes away?

Customer plan to change to 18ms, but they are afraid it's not 100% guaranteed, they want to know that what should they do if return 0 coming out.

Lei,

Can the customer confirm they are losing data when they get a return 0? I would add a sequence number to the data then parse it as it comes in. If you aren't losing data (Don't see a missing sequence number) i think you should be good to call the write function again.
