CC2564: Failure to Send Audio Packet / Resending Packets

Hi Team,

My customer is trying to resolve a Bluetooth issue on the CC2564. They are trying to determine when the CC2564 is trying to re-send Bluetooth packets and then correlate periods of intense retransmissions to audio dropouts on the audio stream that is transmitted/sourced by the CC2564. This leads us to a couple questions:

- Does the CC2564 somehow report if it failed to send an audio packet ?

- Is there a way to know how many times the controller re-tried to send an audio packet?

Hi Mitchell,

What profile is your customer using for audio? A2DP and HFP have different audio links that are used.

For the eSCO audio used for HFP, the CC2564 will not report retransmissions or transmission failures back to the application. That behavior might be different for A2DP and I will need to research that.

Hi Michael,

They are using a2dp for audio, as they do not have support for HFP in their system.

Hi Mitchell,

The CC2564C will not report retransmissions of audio data to the host for A2DP.
