Read ADC data without waking up MCU

Hi,

We have interface CC2640 to ADS1292R over SPI and sampling frequency of ADS1292R is 250 SPS. So we get interrupt from ADS1292R after every 4 mS.

We have to read this data from ADS1292R without waking up MCU. Please suggest us any method so that we can read data without waking up MCU.

We thought that we can read data through DMA without waking up MCU but we seen at one of the post that we can't read data from ADS1292R without waking MCU.

Please suggest.

You can try to use senor controller to do this. You can download Sensor Controller Studio and try it.

Vishal,

As I mentioned to your colleague already (e2e.ti.com/.../421220) the M3 needs to be woken up to start the actual transfer but is then turned off again while the transfer is ongoing (in IDLE power state). Current draw should be ~1.3-4mA while the transfer is ongoing unless you have some pull up/downs on the SPI buses causing current draw.
