Clarifications regarding expoting data

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2650STK, CC2540

I am using the CC2650STK model sensor tag for my motion measurements.  I am using the Sensor Tag app in my Android mobile in which data is showed only as a graphical display. we need the data to be exported into excel or .csv files. How to do that?

We also dont know how to interface the Sensor Tag to a PC via B Tool Blue Tooth low energy software. we installed the software in our PC but while opening the window itself it is showing the error as "GAP device Initialisation Time out. Device may not function properly".

Kindly help me in this regard in solving the issues

  • Hello,

There is no support in the smart device app to export data to excel format. You can export data to a cloud provider and grab the data from the cloud interface. Please refer to cloud support for specific procedures.

For interfacing to a PC please use BLE Device Monitor. Please refer to the SensorTag User's Guide (BLE Wiki) for more info.

  • Hello
    Thank you for your explanation

I am having the Bluetooth 4.0 USB dongle installed in my computer(PC). When I am trying to interface my Sensortag with PC through Bluetooth it is getting detected but I could not create the interface between the USB dongle and Sensortag. My doubt is ,any Bluetooth 4.0 dongle module can create the interface between the PC and Sensortag or it is possible to create the interface through the TI product CC2540 USB dongle only? Please clarify my doubt. As well as is it possible to store the sensed the sensortag data when we are creating the interface of sensortag with BLE Device Monitor or B Tool?
