CC2650: iphone and ipad app

Part Number: CC2650

Hello,

I am trying to use the iOS app with both an iPhone and iPad - but am experiencing strange behaviour with iPhone connection.

With an iPad I can look at accelerometer graph and then easily send CSV file via email without difficulty.

However, following the same procedure with an iPhone, there is an issue with the send tab on the email screen.

On one phone it does eventually appear, after moving panning around the display. On the other the send button does not appear.

(latest firmware and app up to date on both phones).

Is this a known issue/is there an easy fix?

Thanks

  • Hi MA,

Not sure if it’s a known issue. What iPhone is it? What are the steps you are taking to reproduce the issue? Which app are you using (there are a few simplelink apps)?
  • Hi Sorry for the delay, and thanks for your reply

App is Ti Sensortag from Apple App store

Sensor tag app: Version 5.3 (Build 246)

Phone: iPhone 6s    Phone Firmware: 11.4.1 (15G77)   -  email  send button not visible until screen double pressed where send button would normally be located. Send button would then appear and allow message to be sent.

iPhone 6S Version 11.4.1 (15G77) Model MKQN2B/A    - phone that would not allow email to be sent- send button does not appear - procedure used above did not seem to work on this phone.

iPad 4 Version 10.3.3 (14G60) Model FD513B/A -        worked as expected with no issues

Issue was seen with more than one Tag.

Please let me know if there is any further information that may help get to the bottom of this - the phones are used by my colleagues, so reply may be little delayed.

    Many thanks

    MA

  • Hi MA,

I can see the issue as well and will file a bug to get it fixed. I do not have a timeline on how long that will take though.

However! I was able to find a workaround. You can highlight the .csv file that it creates and click "Copy" and then go to your email app and past it into the email and send it and it works fine. This should work as a suitable workaround for now.
