CC2640R2F: Does iOS OAD Cocoa pod support on chip?

Im successfully using Btool to OAD to my custom target board. The next step is integrating TI's iOS OAD library from cocapods. After doing some digging I don't see that the cocapod has any logic handling for OAD reset service for the ON CHIP image vs OFF chip... So my assumption is that I need to add this functionality to the library. If anyone has information or experience I appreciate the feedback.

Hi Joakim,

The reset service is there in the docs towards the bottom: OAD Reset Service (0xFFD0)

When using the on chip OAD option vs off chip, the reset service is called and it resets the chip and notifies the bim to launch persistent app which has the OAD Service that can accept an update. my question is wether the iOS cocoa pod OAD library supports on chip. I couldn't find a reference in the pod file for the reset service. When I run the example iOS app that's included with the library it never starts. Thus, wondering what others have done here. Thanks for you quick reply!

Hi Jonathan,

You are correct, I am not certain how I missed that. The cocoa pod OAD library is designed for the OAD process itself (regardless if it's on-chip or off-chip), so using the OAD Reset Service would have to be an added feature to your own application, as it's more on an OAD init function. That being said, I do see the benefit of having the OAD Reset Service interaction as part of the cocoa pod and maybe just pass a configuration argument as to weather off-chip or on-chip is used.
