The 20 dBm PA has been verified for BLE and Zigbee but not for prop hence it's not possible to select this PA for this mode. To get a setting into Studio the settings has to be through full characterization which we haven't done for prop, 20 dBm, 2.4 GHz.
When we have tested for BLE and Zigbee we also check if the modulation quality is according to the standard. For proprietary mode it's not a given standard meaning that it's not given how to test the 20 dBm PA for proprietary. The reason I mention this is that the PA needs some time to settle and it has to be checked that the settling is done before the last 3 bytes of preamble is sent. If not you can risk that the receiver are not able to receive the packet. The settling time should be independent of datarate meaning that for low datarates more preamble should be sent.
You can try to do some tests your self with the rfCarrierWave example. To the example you can try to add pOverridesTx20[] and txPowerTable from the code export you can do if you select the 20 dBm PA and BLE in SmartRF Studio.
