CC2541: Access its source code

Genius 9880 points
Part Number: CC2541
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SENSORTAG-SW

Hi Team,

"Customer are working on an application that uses the CC2541 and want to confirm regarding sensor tag. Below is the inquiry.

In this application we will use the OAD feature as the SimpleLink app has this functionality, we would like to know if we can access its source code on the forum, some people commented that SimpleLink Starter would be the same as the "SensorTag" app that exists in Texas git but this git is in a much older version.

Is this is in version 1.01 (www.ti.com/.../SENSORTAG-SW), is it the same that is available in the play store? The current version of the android app on the play store is on V2.0 and ios on V5.9

"

Thank you

Regards,

Maynard

  • Hi Maynard,

I will notify the correct experts about this request, does the Git repository not have the OAD feature included?  I don't believe the SENSORTAG-SW page versions match what is actually stored in the Git.

    Regards,
    Ryan

  • Hi Ryan,

Thank you for your support, I will wait for the other expert on this matter.

Regarding the OAD, will confirm with the customer on this.

    Regards,

    Maynard

  • Hi Ryan,

Below is another details from the customer.

"In the iOS version (3.5) that is in the AppStore, we we achieved to use the OAD for the cc2541. Could you provide the code for THIS VERSION (3.5) so that we can use it as an example in our application?

The iOS version that is in the git of SENSORTAG-SW is in version 1.0, and we were unable to use it.

The version of the Android app that is on git is with version 1.01, that is, outdated in relation to the Play Store that is in version 2.0. With version 1.01 (of git) we were unable to even scan devices.

I would like to know if it is possible to make version 3.5 of the iOS app available or version 2.0 of the Android app to use as an example."

    Regards,

    Maynard

  • Maynard,

Please apologize for the delay; I had to consult with some colleagues and unfortunately we don't publish the source code for the sensortag app anymore. Sorry.

    Regards,

    Rafael

  • Hello,

Would you have any material or documentation to indicate about the application development process with the OAD feature for CC2541?

  • Hi,

The only documentation available is provided with the SDK, typically installed at:

    C:\ti\BLE-CC254x-1.5.1.1\Documents
