My customer have the deadlock problem at running sample problem when they try to get the semaphore dataSem by task AP_taskFxn and the semaphore waitRsp_sem by the task NPITask_Fxn.

Sample program is gotten from /Software/SimpleLink SDK Plugins/Connectivity/SimpleLink SDK BLE Plugin (3.20.00.24)/Examples/Development Tools/MSP432P401R LunchPad - Red 2.x (Red)/Bluetooth/temperature_sensor_broadcast/TI-RTOS/GCC Compiler/temperature_sensor_broadcas by CCS resource explore. According its readme, after initialization, it seems that BLE advertisement will start.
However, after the following message is output by UART,
They can't make a Bluetooth connection by its deadlock.

Hi,

From your description, I understand the deadlock occurs on the MSP432 device. Am I correct?

Have you verified if the issue could be caused by the CC2650 non responding?

Do you know which example/project is running on the CC2650? Have you verified if the CC2650 works as expected?

It is not clear to me if the CC2650 is advertising or not, could you specify this?

Thanks for your quick reply. I am working with Sakuma-san.

Customer is using our SDK example on Resource Explorer and following the sequence written in README.
According to README, the terminal should output like below;

Then pushing S1 switch will start advertising.
As the code stops before showing “State set to idle”, CC2650 does not start advertising.

I found similar E2E post. It was 4 years ago.

I am not sure the old SNP image resides on the CC2650MODA customer bought recently, though.
Is this still the case?

Hi Koichiro Tashiro,

I would recommend to flash the CC2650 with an up-to-date version of the SNP image - that way you will have full control on the version of the software.

Hi Clement,

Customer updated SNP image, but result is the same.
He uses below file.
simple_np_cc2650bp_uart_pm_sbl_2_02_01_18a_merge.hex

Are there any points need to be checked?
He has two set of boards and both boards showed the same results.
So board issue is not likely.

Could you try to run temperature_sensor_broadcast (TI-RTOS, GCC version) on your side?

Hi,

Could you check if the jumper is properly set on the CC2650MODA?

You may also want to use a logic analyzer to verify the MSP432 sends the proper commands (or at commands) through UART to the CC2650.
