RF430F5978: Low-Power mode Supply Current 관련 문의

Part Number: RF430F5978

Hi, TI Support Team

A customer is using the RF430F5978IRGCR and is reviewing it.

During the review, inquiries regarding current consumption in sleep mode have been received, and we request an answer.

- Datasheet related content

• Normal part: 9.5uA

• Abnormal parts: Current gradually increases after entering Sleep Mode (9.5uA).

• There is a deviation for each IC, and it rises to a maximum of 18uA and stops.

[Question]

1. What is the max Current Spec for each sleep mode?

2. In case of Low Power mode3, the spec typ is 2.2uA, but the measured value is 9.5uA, is there any expected cause?

3. Although it is different for each IC, some parts have a fixed current, but is there an expected cause for some parts' current to rise?

: There is a difference for each IC when performing SWAP testing of parts.

Thanks.

Regards,

MJ

  • Hi MJ,

it is not easy to give an answer to this questions. The devices are characterized and tested to the current values given in the datasheet.

Effects like this can be caused by external circuitry connected to the device or caused by programming of the IO ports. The fact that the current raises in one case is most likely caused by an open input. The customer should carefully check all IOs for correct programing.
