TRF7970A: Distance between the Antenna and Tuning circuit

Hello

For our application, the NFC Coil antennas have to be kept 300m away from the MCU. The MCU board is ready for an add-on board to accommodate TRF7970A. This means the distance between the TRF7970A circuitry and the Antenna will be 300mm.

Which option is best for this application?

Hi Anvin,

the second solution is the only one that will work. The reason is, that only in this configuration you will have the 50 Ohm impedance at both sides and you can connect the reader and the antenna with a 50 Ohm cable. 300m is a long distance and you have to consider also the damping of the cable.
