RF430FRL152H: Code Composer Studio RF430FRL152H MSP-FET

Part Number: RF430FRL152H
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP-FET

I am trying to connect to the RF430FRL152H Evaluation board using MSP-FET and CCS version 10.4.

The SV7 jumper is in place, and the PWR switch is on supply.  When I go to the resource explorer, I keep getting the error {"msg":"COM4: Could not open the device.","name":"COM4","type":"error"}.

I can directly plug in one of my other launchpads and it works correctly, identifying the chips.

Any ideas of how to connect?  I have tried using the downloaded slac691f demonstration projects.  Same results.

  • Hello John,

have you downloaded code to that evaluation board before? Or is it still the configuration as it was delivered? I'm asking, because it is possible to accidentally disable JTAG access with code download (also via over the air programming).

If it is still in original configuration, have you tried to access via NFC?

    Best regards,

    Andreas.

  • John,

I just got feedback from a colleague, that the resource explorer seems not to support the RF430FRL152H, but code download is possible independently.

Please check if you can directly download and debug your project code.

    Best regards,

    Andreas.
