Hi,
There is no documentation specific to kernel 5.x .
You may consult https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/swru561a/swru561a.pdf and skip section 3.4 which is specific to R8.8 build.

Hello SN,
Our customer would like to know how they're supposedly able to skip section 3.4, which involves the patching of the kernel? Currently, what he's trying to do is to patch Kernel 5.10.72 using the scripts provided by the TI build-utilities. Are the kernels are backward compatible and should be to apply patches from older kernels to newer ones? Scripts seem not to work with this version of the kernel and the customer tried with other versions.
Thank you for your continuous assistance.
Regards,
Carlo
Hi,
R8.8 was released on kernel 4.19 , hence the patches might not work as is on kernel 5.x . But some customers have ported these patches to kernel 5.x on their own . For reference : https://e2e.ti.com/support/wireless-connectivity/wi-fi-group/wifi/f/wi-fi-forum/955635
FYI: WiLink8 driver might still work without these patches on kernel 5.x since it is supported by default in-tree drivers that come with kernel. These patches are for bug fixes, feature support etc.
