WILINK-BT_WIFI-WIRELESS_TOOLS: ! symbol in Logger Tool

Part Number: WILINK-BT_WIFI-WIRELESS_TOOLS

Hi BLE team,

I'm using the BlueTooth Logger tool, and was wondering what the ! on the left side of the tool means? I could not find information in the Logger Tools User Guide: https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/swau058d/swau058d.pdf. See the image below:

Thanks!

  • Additionally, I wanted to know some possible reasons for the tool to stop collecting data?

  • Hi Nishka,

The exclamation mark is a filter to mark lines as "Critical". The criteria for this filter can be set in View > Settings > Criteria

Please see the highlighted row in the screenshot below, you can filter text for whatever you need so that exclamation mark indicates that one of those phrases specified in the "Text" column is in that line's "Information" column.

As far as possible reasons for data collection stop, the most probable is that the COM port setup disconnects, otherwise think of Logger as a serial port viewer. Another is that the log became too large (this would only happen in the case that logs are several hours long) in which case please enable Auto Save and Clear.
