TRF7970A: TRF7970A no successful receive due to Framing and Parity Error when configured as tag reader

Part Number: TRF7970A

A TRF7970A is configured as a reader for reading ISP 14443 3B type tags.

After the RF checks are done and the polling command is sent (REQB), there is no successful RX.

The IRQ status shows Byte Framing Error and Parity Error.

We are using the TRF7970A Boosterpack and using the TI NFC Tool (ver1.8) to emulate a type B tag.

  • Side note:  To elliminate physical wireless comms, we have connected the tag emulator directly to the TRF7970A  antenna port with wires.
