CC3220SF-LAUNCHXL: Operation failed: Unhandled exception: char format requires a bytes object of length 1

When following the design demo published...TI Designs: TIDC-01002 Sub-1 GHz Embedded Sensor to Cloud Industrial Internet of Things (IoT) Gateway Reference Design, on page 20 when clicking the "Program Image (Create & Program)" button using UniFlash I get the following error....Operation failed: Unhandled exception: char format requires a bytes object of length 1....so looking for a solution to resolve this and move forward with the design demo.  Thanks!
