hello Team,

1] i am working on CC2538EMK . there is on chip ADC but when i was given analog input to ADC it will give offset in data sheet there is offset=-3mv but in my case when i was given ov as input it will give ADC value is around 54 why this happen ?

2] what is the ADC max value for 12 bit ADC , AND cc2538 ADC gives 2's compliment output so what is the ADC max value?

Hi,

1) You can refer to the device datasheet (https://www.ti.com/lit/gpn/cc2538) for the typical output at 25C

2) The ADC value is outputted on 12 bits. The maximum value should then be 2047 (0b 0111 1111 1111)

hello team ,
1) ADC is 12 bit then adc max value will be 2^12=4095 and also i get 4095 when i was given max analog input to ADC then how 2047 when ADC value is outputted 12 bit
2) my refrance voltage is 3.3 but offset is to much how can i reduce offset ?
2) i am using pressure sensor insteed of temperature sensor is there any issue when i use this

Hi,

1) Sorry for the confusion - I wrongly assumed the value will be signed. Your observations are correct.

2) The type of analog sensor used should not affect the results

We are getting 53 adc value at 0V analog input. Is this error or offset ?

Hi,

The ADC performances of the chipset are provided in §5.16 of https://www.ti.com/lit/gpn/cc2538

I believe you should measure the same value on various boards and units to assess if it should be compensated in software.
