I am making a design with CC2662 and BQ79616, when I want to put an external antenna, what features should I choose the antenna I want to use for 2.54GHz, how can I know which antennas it supports?

    Hi Melih,

    You can you use any antenna that can support the 2.4GHz band. What antenna to select is really dependent on your application and requirements. Usually, an antenna is selected based on the efficiency, bandwidth and size.

    Please take a look at Antenna Selection Quick Guide for our recommended antennas. In that document, you can find what frequency band each antenna supports and their respective efficiency.

    Hi Haiatullah,

    I am thinking of using the A1001013 Kyocera antenna. As you stated, the antenna selection is based on efficiency, bandwidth and size. Is there anything else I should pay attention to in the product I mentioned?

    Hi Melih,

    Your selected antenna looks good from a performance point of view. Make sure to follow the vendors recommendations on placement and ground size. Also note that the antenna has much better efficiency and return loss in the off-ground scenario. I would recommend you to please the antenna off-ground.
