Frequency allocation

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1101

Hello TI Experts,

I m using CC1101 with 2-GFSK modulation in 915Mhz ISM band.

I m using Smart RF studio to get the settings and using optimized sensitivity setting with 1.2 and 38.4 kbps

My questions are,

1. What are the maximum number of different channels i can get?

2. what is the Centre frequency should be used (is that 915 Mhz)

3. Is there a documentation which clearly illustrates the frequency allocation in ISM band with 2GFSK modulation

Thanking You

Ushan

  • Dear Ushan

to the best of my knowledge there is a design note (DN006) from TI that describes how to configure cc11xx to be compliant with FCC 15.247 in the 902-928 ISM band.

    1. What are the maximum number of different channels i can get?

The number of different channels depends on the channel bandwidth you choose and the level of interference you can accept for your transmission.

    2. what is the Centre frequency should be used (is that 915 Mhz)

There is not a special central frequency. You can use all the spectrum provided that you respect FCC 15.247

    3. Is there a documentation which clearly illustrates the frequency allocation in ISM band with 2GFSK modulation

Try to see DN006 and FCC 15.247

    Best Regards
