TMS3705: Combinations use of TMS3705GDRQ1 and TMS37145TEAIES

Hello TI team,

Our customer asked us about the combination of TMS3705GDRQ1 with TMS37145TEAIES.

1, Is it possible to use this combination if no issue by customer's evaluation?

2, Regarding to use this combination, please give us the precautions or comments.

 

We can find below comment in TMS3705 Data Sheet;

Only TMS3705DDRQ1 and TMS3705GDRQ1 is recommended in combination with AES

transponder products (for example, TRPWS21GTEA or RF430F5xxx). TMS3705EDRQ1 and TMS3705FDRQ1

is recommended for best performance in combination with DST40, DST80, MPT transponders (for example,

TMS37145TEAx, TMS37126xx, TMS37x128xx, TMS37x136xx, TMS37x158xx, RI-TRP-DR2B-xx, RI-TRP[1]BRHP-xx) and cannot be used in combination with AES transponder products.

It seems this combination"TMS3705GDRQ1 with TMS37145TEAIES" does not work properly.

Is our understanding correct?

Our customer said there was no issue for their products in mass production phase.

So customer wants to use TMS3705GDRQ1 instead of TMS3705DDRQ1 discontinuance.

    No, I believe the data sheet is saying TMS3705 should not be used with AES transponder products (TRPWS21GTEA and RF430F5xxx). The section mentioned "recommended for best performance in combination with DST40, DST80, MPT transponders (for example, TMS37145TEAx, TMS37126xx, TMS37x128xx, TMS37x136xx, TMS37x158xx, RI-TRP-DR2B-xx, RI-TRP-BRHP-xx). This implies that the TMS3705 works with the "for example" parts.
