impedances CC2590, CC2550

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2590, CC2550

Hi, I'm Enrique Maciel, from Montevideo, Uruguay.

I'm designing a transmitter with CC2550 and CC2590, for an experimental satellite project called Antelsat (Cubesat standard).

As a part of the design, I have to calculate the input and output matching networks from the point of view of the 2590.

In my design, the RF output signal of the 2550 (balanced output), goes to the RF input of the 2590 (RF-P and RF-N balanced input). In the data sheet there is an scheme with a direct connection betwen both. However, the output impedance of the 2550 (80 + j74 ohm)  and there is not data for the input impedance of the 2590. Have I include a matching network between both elements, or is correct to connect them directly?

On the other hand, I will connect the output of the 2590 to a front end stage (in order to get more RF power). That front end is a CEL UPG2118K power amplifier. Their input impedance is 50 ohm (unbalanced). That is, I must include another matching network, to adapt them. But I didn't find the output impedance of the CC2590, so I can't calculate the matching network. Could you give me that information?. Could you recommend me which is the best options to resolve that adaptation?

Best regards.

Enrique
